Though miscarriages of justice aren't an argument against long sentences.

The witch hunt today more so targets men and masculinity. But even back in the days of the witch trials in Europe, around 20-25% of executions were of men, and in some countries up to 80% of the accused were men. This history is brushed under the carpet
