The irony and chutzpah of @libertyhq relying on the police’s assessment to justify the position that ‘Zionists off our street’, ‘globalise the intifada’, ‘from the river to the sea’ and ‘death to the IDF’ is not hate speech.
It was great to have a nuanced discussion on competing rights when it comes to protests on @bbcsml Thanks for having me on.

The talk I went to this afternoon at #Filia25 was about sex apartheid. Speakers from Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia asking the audience to take steps to help women in those countries. The room was packed. @sianberry do you think this type of talk should not take place in Brighton?
Events that inflame division and create tension should be guarded against and @BrightonHoveCC needs better policies for which events it will host in our council-owned venues. The choice of Brighton was clearly provocative from organisers and the problems caused predictable.

It should not take a small human rights charity @SexMattersOrg to threaten legal action before police forces withdraw unlawful policies allowing trans identifying male officers to strip search women. @YvetteCooperMP must act now against remaining forces to stop Art 3 breaches
Merseyside, Sussex, Surrey and Northumbria and the the Metropolitan also backed down when we sent the a legal letter. A gender recognition certificate is not a licence for men to search women.

No, Akua Reindorf did not "call for trans people to accept reduced rights" (headline and first paragraph) and it is irresponsible to say she did. She said they have been lied to about their rights and there has to be a period of correction. @peterwalker99

Akua Reindorf said law never permitted self-ID, but trans campaigners call remarks ‘profoundly unhelpful’

Why was there no mention in the article of where the practices of self-ID have operated in women-only spaces? Prisons, police strip searches, refuges, homeless hostels, commissioning, sports, intimate care and changing rooms.

3 trans rights organisations commented on the factually and legally accurate views by the excellent @akuareindorf. Why were no women’s rights organisations contacted by the Guardian about the harms done by the widespread practice of allowing self-ID access to women-only spaces?
Astonishingly misleading and potentially defamatory headline from @guardian Rights are not being reduced, and Reindorf did not say they were, or call for trans people to accept ‘reduced rights’. @peterwalker99 should know this. /

We need to be doing the same in England. 90% of women in the sex trade want to leave but don’t have sufficient support to do so. The overwhelming majority of women are being exploited and do not consider what they are doing is “work”.

It is dystopian that women are facing criminal investigations for seeking medical care at the most desperate moments of their lives. This has got to end. That’s why I tabled NC1 - it’s time for Parliament to support this change👇 @BPAS1968
