🚨 We are horrified by @thetimes highly inaccurate headline today which is likely to lead to confusion and fear amongst women seeking legal abortion. MPs *have not* voted to ban abortions related to Down's Syndrome. They are not 'to be banned'. An MP has made a proposal.

The issue emerged after an episode of #CallTheMidwife , in which a woman died from an illegal backstreet abortion. Viewers visited BBC Action Line for support but were unable to find information on abortion.

Abortion is not a side issue. One in three women will have an abortion in their lifetime. One in three. They deserve parliamentarians who take their wellbeing seriously, not those who would seek to impose their minority view on their access to healthcare.

Just called the police on 2 men who have been kneeling outside our Streatham clinic since 10am. If you see this happening outside a clinic, call 101 and report a breach of Regulation 6 of the The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020. #BackOff

Abortion rights are not a bargaining tool. We will not allow any rollback. We will keep fighting for decriminalisation and access across UK.

This staggering infringement of women’s data privacy is unjustified and disproportionate, with no basis in evidence. Women do not lose their right to medical confidentiality simply because they are pregnant. Read our briefing here:
