We’re thrilled our campaign to decriminalise abortion for women and girls has been shortlisted for ‘Best In-house Campaign’ at the @CharityComms awards. After 10 years of campaigning — and support from millions — this historic reform removed women from criminal law.

Over 1.5 million children are affected by the two child limit, pushing families into poverty and limiting women’s choices. Labour’s budget will show if action will lift 350,000 children out of poverty. BPAS urges the government to remove this harmful policy.

This continued failure means that one woman every four days is forced to travel to England for essential healthcare. We are calling on the Minister to deliver on her promise as a matter of urgency.  @heraldscotland  https://t.co/zBSZHYQJge

Today marks a big step forward for women’s healthcare. At BPAS, we’ve campaigned for years to make this essential medication easier to get — but there’s still more to do. Listen to our Head of Campaigns discuss the news on @BBCRadio4 (around 30 mins in): https://t.co/tibebqPzRo

New NHS data shows a sharp decline in contraceptive access. Contacts with SRH services down almost 48% in a decade. Funding cuts and service reductions are leaving women without choice. We need investment and innovation now.

As Baby Loss Awareness Week ends, we reflect on the words of MP @BellRibeiroAddy: there is no hierarchy of grief. Every experience of pregnancy loss — miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion — deserves compassion and care.

So-called crisis pregnancy centres masquerade as legitimate sources of medical information in order to mislead and manipulate vulnerable women. Important piece from @BigIssue: https://t.co/maJlduTdkA

Crisis pregnancy centres which have been known to “misinform” women around abortion have become increasingly “professionalised” in the UK.

US extremist groups are funding UK anti-abortion protesters. This is foreign interference in women’s healthcare. Abortion is safe, but delays and misinformation put women at risk. We must protect safe access in the UK. Swipe through this post to read our full response.

Abortion is essential healthcare, and an unplanned pregnancy can happen to a woman at any stage of her reproductive lifetime. There should be no shame, and no stigma.
