This is a cracking piece by @stellaomalley3. I would argue it’s not just the linguistically sensitive (as per the par below). It’s every viewer, reader and listener whose trust in news orgs diminishes with each published untruth.
Very balanced, from Stella. The point though is that deliberate misuse of language not only gives birth to more damaging lies but also nourishes & sustains them. Psychotherapists may have to play along with the fictions. Rest of us should not, must not.

Dennis is on fire here. Understandably so.
1/ More student politics here from a parliament increasing characterised by such. Nowhere in this amateur hour attack job on the EHRC are the rights of women or LGB people considered, despite the fact these rights were in the balance in the Supreme Court. It's trans all the way.

Didn’t see this first time round. Thanks @joerichlaw - private prosecutions are a Wild West and the RSPCA appear to have learned nothing from the Post Office Scandal nor their own mistakes.
I’m posting this so that those people who think the RSPCA has stopped its private prosecution business know that the ‘charity’ is still up to its old tricks. And, of course, ‘lessons will be learned’ etc.

Letter to @Ofcom pointing out their nonsensical (and disingenuous) position on accurately reporting sex and gender. Hats off to the @JournalismSEEN network.

Perfectly put. You can’t spend years telling people their jobs are at risk if they don’t denounce reality and then expect them to turn on a sixpence when it turns out that reality is also the law.
