Itโs out! Itโs very exciting to see the final results of the US phase III RCT of IMPT versus IMRT for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. Data have been percolating for some time at conferences (and social media), and itโs great to be able to crunch through the actual paper.

IMPT showed non-inferiority to IMRT for progression-free survival, improvement in overall survival, similar disease control, and reduced high-grade toxicity relative to IMRT. Treatment-related and...

Excellent work in @JAMAOnc by my friend & co resident Dr @NikMankuzhy @FanYangMD & our mentor Dr @IMRTLee Definitive RT w/wo chemo for anterior nasal cavity cancers shows excellent organ preservation & local control in pts treated nonsurgically @MSKCancerCenter @MSK_RadOnc
Definitive radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy in anterior nasal cavity cancers achieved high rates of long-term organ preservation & favorable local recurrence rates for patients who declined rhinectomy or had unresectable disease. https://t.co/9g8438Axll
