GPs are already offering record numbers of appointments. You’ve now imposed a new route of access without additional resource or appropriate safeguards. It’s almost like you want us to fail @wesstreeting
You can now request appointments at your GP online. We're working with GPs to make it easier to get an appointment, when it works for you. Find out more: https://t.co/gWfMaJzLNy

It’s never been quite so hard to be a GP in the NHS But it’s even harder for patients Example : Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics which should be less than 2 weeks but are now many months Choosing which hospital waiting list to join won’t solve the underlying issues @wesstreeting

⭐️Some disheartening feedback from a patient⭐️ 😩 She felt our service was rushed. 😊 She felt A&E took more time with her. No amount of quality improvement, hard work, innovation & caring culture can ever make up for discrepancies like this⬇️ We'll never be good enough ⬇️

The death knell for UK NHS general practice? Totally unsustainable.
GP surgeries are affected by the NI rules as they stand & WILL have to pay the increase @wesstreeting clarifies after twice being asked GPs have had a 20% real terms cut in funding since 2016, fewer GPs & more cuts to come? 20% needed to restore to 2016

⭐Treat General Practice like they're private, and they'll need to 'act private' to survive⭐️ £80 for a 30 min appointment with a GP of your choice? 💡To keeps the lights on for the NHS patients they get 50p/ day for? General Practice is broken. National insurance will crush it.

I’m hoping @BBCr4today asks the Chancellor about the impact of NI rises on struggling public sector services like NHS gen practice. As a GP partner I’m responsible for the salaries of our 70 staff. This rise will hit us with £50k of additional costs/yr hitting patient care badly

Over a third of Doctors looking to leave the NHS @wesstreeting do you care about Doctor retention, if you do take a look at GPs urgently 25% of under 30s left last year @gmcuk you need to read your own report & take responsibility for your actions https://t.co/cZQoRM5bzk

Not wanting to do something is a valid reason not to do it. Just because you’re free, doesn’t mean you’re available to everyone.
