How life works sometimes. I was having breakfast alone by the hotel club this morning when the illustrious Dr Nanette Wenger walked in. We ended up keeping each other company, I was absorbing her precious advices🥰 at

I am at a loss for words: covid19 took my attending, one of my mentor: Dr Stephan Kamholz: chair of Medicine at my hospital. A brilliant, kind, wise, humble man who touched the lives of so many.

Last day of 1rst year of fellowship. There were times when I felt overwhelmed, wanting to give up but I reminded myself about how much I wanted to be here, to be the cardiologist “saving lives”and it got me through those difficult shifts.
We survived the first year of cardiology
The two faces. The mother/ the doctor. Maybe this will help that one young person who wants to achieve great things in life but is held back because of society’s standards. Life is a challenge, embrace it as it comes

Overly emotional as I stepped into that room to get my covid vaccine. Had antibodies so I had to wait a bit before getting it. I am crying looking back at how scared I was the first time I walked into a patient room with covid in March and did CPR on him a few hours later.

Today is my birthday! Waking up to this message from my teenage daughter meant the world to me! All the hard work, the frustration, the self doubt of managing a demanding career and raising kids is paying off. This is for all the parents out there- keep inspiring the world🫶🏻🌎
Just taking a moment to process the impact we (physician) make. My patient cried in my office while telling me her family history of 🫀disease. I am so touched by her vulnerability, it is a privilege to be able to accompany my patients through this difficult stage of their life
Being a Parent Cardiologist! For those interested to hear about the fine juggling act of parenthood and having a demanding career: please come on Sunday to our session!

Today, at an all girls high-school, i spoke on how to become a physician:the room was beaming with light and hope for a bright future ⭐️ (the things i do during my “lunch break” 16 clinic patients seen as well and cardiac studies read)
