One of my all time heroes has died. RIP Jim Lovell, you have inspired countless generations of actual and potential astronauts to greater things. The definition of a life well lived and calmness under pressure that I aspire to.
Jim Lovell, one of only three men to have gone to the moon twice, first on Apollo 8, then again as commander of the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission, has died at the age of 97. He was a true American hero, and we should all mourn his passing.

Going one better, @British_Airways have also managed to not book my suitcase on the flight that they bumped me to, so I’m in -5°C weather without a coat or cold weather clothes. Thanks guys, great customer experience.

So thanks to @British_Airways overbooking their flight by 30 pax, I’m landing several hours later at the wrong airport, before needing to take 4 trains and a mile walk with luggage to get home. So much for arriving well rested and ready to operate on Monday….
