The only thing you’ve successfully boiled down is your entire personality into the froth left behind by resentment, repression, and spellcheck neglect.
When you boil it down these people are celebrating that they arse fuck eachover, chop there cocks off and take drugs, people would find a straight pride parade absurd for the same reason of 'look at me i fuck women!', wonder how long they'll keep this going.

You mean the part where he reduces being gay to a “sexual preference” and compares Pride to a foot fetish parade?. Yes, John. I did answer it. You just didn’t like the answer.
@i_iratus You don't really answer the "serious question" posed in the tweet of Daniel Hannan's you quoted though, do you?.

Proclivity, James?. That’s a fancy word for “I don’t understand how love works, so I’m going to pretend it’s all just sex.”. Your proclivity seems to be reducing people to punchlines. Mine is marrying the love of my life. We all have our quirks.
@i_iratus Translation: my identity extends only to my proclivity to find men attractive. It defines me. Gotcha.

Daniel Hannan did. In print. With a straight face. While comparing being gay to voyeurism. So yes. They are. Still. Absolutely. Saying it.
@i_iratus Is anyone really calling being gay a preference or a lifestyle? Are they really? Who?.

I don’t know, Mark - most people find Pride quite uplifting. If your experience feels more… invasive, that might be a you problem. Or maybe a Google incognito window problem.
@i_iratus I don’t care what you want to get up to in your own house, or what your sexuality is. However I do object to a month of pride being rammed down my throat every year. Our armed forces get a day of celebration, what makes pride so special that we need a month?.

So close, yet so embarrassingly far. I said legal recognition wasn’t the only reason we march. Not that it didn’t matter. But do go on about “revoking rights” like it’s a reasonable hobby.
@i_iratus If the legal recognition doesn't matter can we please revoke same sex marriage, it is an abomination.

Yes, Emily. That’s typically how being married to a man works when you’re also a man. Gold star for catching up.
@i_iratus Your husband is gay.

Personally, I think the Tories haven’t even begun to apologise properly - so yes, I’d like a great deal more of it, and with significantly more sincerity.
EXC: The Tories have finished apologising to the public and must now look to the future, one of Kemi Badenoch’s top aides has said in a tape leaked to @Telegraph. Rachel Maclean: “We’ve done the mea culpas, done the apologies, done all of that.”

The idea that two men holding hands in Soho Square dishonours 111,000 years of heterosexual history is… honestly, one of the campest things I’ve ever read.
@i_iratus You can’t even honour the idea of your ancestors of 111000 where straight people needed the concept of heterosexual family for your existence today. I have no problem with your existence but you can’t rewrite your own history with sassy remarks and a shallow political movement.

And here we have the classic “nobody cares” post… passionately typed under a tweet about something you apparently don’t care about. Always the mark of a completely neutral observer.
@i_iratus Nah, it's a party. 99% don't give 2 shits about what people do in the privacy of their homes. Being a homosexual should not be a defining characteristic, it's incredibly boring.

Legal rights aren’t the same as social safety. You can have marriage and still face abuse. You can have protections and still be killed. That’s why Pride matters. Because equality is not a finish line - it’s a foundation.
@i_iratus Gays have equality. They've moved onto pandering and demanding a right to liked with that no other group has.

Your logic seems to be: “Gay people should be grateful straight people had sex once.” . Okay. Cool. Enjoy your medal.
@i_iratus Your own existence depends on heterosexuality. You should still celebrate and acknowledge that fact a lot more.

We don’t want to be treated as “special.” We want to be safe. We want to be seen. We want to live our lives without having to explain our existence to people who still think being tolerated is the same as being equal.
@i_iratus It didn’t clarify anything other than that you wish to be celebrated for being what you want us all to think is normal. What is it? Special enough to need special recognition? Or as normal as those who don’t get special recognition?.

You do know it was trans women and drag queens who started Pride, right? That the original protests were led by those very “weirdos” you now want erased? History doesn’t bend to your revisionism. And neither will we.
@i_iratus Pride these days is nothing more than public debauchery. It was hijacked by the TQI+ weirdos and has since become a protest for everything but LGB 👍🏻.

You know what’s actually divisive? . Telling a group of people who’ve fought for decades just to exist openly that their joy is somehow too visible. That their love, community, and history should be crammed into a single, polite day - preferably one that doesn’t inconvenience.
@i_iratus For the silent majority, what pride does is make people dislike everything about pride. It’s divisive, and often obscene. Why the fuck do you need a whole month? . One day is more than enough!.

Hi Daniel,. Genuine answer. I went to Pride yesterday with my husband of fifteen years. We didn’t go because we’re demanding legal recognition - we marched because visibility, joy and community still matter, especially when there are people in power working very hard to.
I fear this is going to upset people, but a genuine question. Why, 11 years after same-sex marriage, 20 years after civil partnerships and 58 years after the legalisation of homosexual acts, is Pride such a big deal?.I understand why people marched when there was still legal.
