An academic who migrated to London to carry out a project on censorship at universities over the transgender issue was made redundant and had her findings seized. This was after other academics told the University of London the research was 'transphobic'

There IS a survey! After the interviews I invited representative samples of social scientists to complete an online survey funded by the British Academy. City refuses to deposit the 600+ anonymised responses. I hope to be sharing news about the data soon! Thanks

realised it's been over a month since I lost my job and access to my interview and survey data on the "gender wars" & working life in academia😭
Why Academic Freedom Matters
TLDR: Without it, evidence based policy change might not happen. The
@WomensRightsNet
report might not have been able to draw on academic expertise for the hospital rapes and sexual assaults report.
