Today, 13 years 6 months and 18 days since my first day of work as a doctor (and 19 and a half years after starting medical school), I work my last day as a #juniordoctor. So grateful to all the patients I have had privilege of being the doctor to and advocate for. #NHS ❤️

This is what happens when one side has a louder voice than the other in a conflict and warnings are not heeded and dismissed. But we cannot just be horrified or angry, action is needed now from the international community to stop more preventable deaths and suffering in Gaza.

The @theIPCinfo has declared a man-made famine in Gaza City. We are horrified by the increasing suffering of civilians and continued attacks on healthcare. We renew our call for an immediate end to Israel’s blockade on humanitarian aid:

Clarity in naming matters. Patients must not be allowed to believe they are being treated by a doctor when they are not. Doctors must always lead the team. This is about making sure patients get the care they need when they need it. Tales of missed opportunities abound
