Happy to share our latest preprint describing the first genome-wide map of G4s in T.Brucei led by the amazing @LudovicaMonti. We found that G4s accumulate in coding regions of the parasite, causing transcriptional perturbation upon treatment with ligands. https://t.co/BG5TtLWYXl

In 70% of cases, ovarian cancer develops resistance to chemotherapy. Researchers and charities like @OvarianCancerUK hope that this finding could improve ovarian cancer survival rates. Find out more via @TheObserver 🔽 https://t.co/XOellNI5GZ

Unusual, four-stranded DNA could hold the key to fighting ovarian cancer, according to researchers. These DNA structures accumulate in the cancer cells that resist chemotherapy, so targeting them could give patients another chance of recovering. https://t.co/Bi5ceHzYVF

Ready for super-G4s? We identified clusters of G4s in intergenic regions that act as super-enhancers in ovarian cancer cells. These are de novo super-enhancers that are not underpinned by canonical epigenetic marks, supporting the epigenetic role of G4s https://t.co/rIYJjeZwfM
