There’s no contradiction. Low skill, entry level jobs should exist for young people who aren’t heads of households but need to build work habits & job skills. That will help them escape or stay out of poverty in the future. You can’t beat poverty by making people unemployable.

Tax revenue through at least 2019 was at all time highs. Probably offset by increased tariffs, but regardless they never lost revenue. It always went up. The problem is that spending growth always outpaced it significantly, not a lack of tax revenue.
