I have the same question as @RepThomasMassie. Why does Washington feel the need to spend the same amount as last year (or MORE!)?. We should be reining in out-of-control spending and focus on paying down our national debt.

Republicans told the American people that if we won last November, we’d reduce spending and be fiscally responsible. We shouldn’t have to wait until 2032 to cut spending to pre-pandemic levels.
The main fiscal effect of the health provisions of OBBB is to gradually restore the projected path of federal Medicaid & Obamacare subsidy spending to the pre-Biden levels. Total spending in 2025 is ~$200 billion, or 33% higher, than what CBO projected just four years ago!

Spoke today with House Conservatives, encouraging them to add “real savings” to Big Not So Beautiful Bill. Reaffirmed that I can vote to allow a larger increase in debt ceiling if House attaches immediate REAL spending cuts.

Even under the Not Yet Beautiful Bill, Americans have to wait 15 months before illegal aliens’ access to Medicaid is revoked. Next week, as soon as the Senate is back in session, I’m introducing legislation to block ALL Medicaid payments to illegals to go into effect.

I recently spoke with a constituent who was disappointed with @RepThomasMassie and @RandPaul for voting against the OBBB. I explained that I was grateful for their votes, as they seemed to only politicians looking out for the well-being of my children and future generations.

My litmus test for the One, Big, Not-so-beautiful Bill was simple: Does it grow our national debt? The answer is yes. The deficit in 2026 will be $270 billion more than it was this year. That’s why I voted against this bill.

Throughout the Vote-a-rama, I was working all night to stop Congress from adding to our debt. I met with @VP and I reiterated my offer to vote for the bill—if it included a 90% reduction in the debt ceiling. No earmarks. No handouts. Just real fiscal reform. I wasn’t looking.

I’ve been a constant thorn in Anthony Fauci’s side because I believe the American people deserve the truth, and Dr. Fauci needs to be held accountable for his actions. That’s why I referred him for prosecution.

The most telling thing about Dr. Fauci’s role in the COVID pandemic is that he got rich while Americans’ rights and freedoms were trampled on, while we were forced into unconstitutional lockdowns and mandates. I will NOT let him get away with this.
