My mum, 80 this year, wont turn on the heating as she can't afford it. She has a smart meter and has reduced the amount of tea she drinks as she worries about her bill. Her pension has gone up 20p a week mind. So she can buy an extra loaf of bread every two months.

When I joined the Navy we had a class on how to correctly brush our teeth. Seemed weird to me at the time. But, if it prevents deeper health issues, saves money and keeps you healthy then so be it.
We were also taught how to wash our clothes by hand. Iron. Make our beds.

6 yrs this year we moved to Denmark. I can remember a conversation and an ex-pat when we arrived. He was shocked I could be the "trailing spouse".
He said he couldn't understand how a man could do that. Supporting his wife and looking after the kids. In this day and age....🤣🤣
