When somebody comes up to you at a con, and indicates that they have met you before “Hi Tom, good to see you again” - say “Hey, it’s been a while, forgive me, I’m terrible with names, what’s yours again?” /end.

This comes back to trust. If you act sincere when you first meet somebody, but then later behave like you have never met them, that raises other questions. There insane easy fix though: /15.
