I am following up on yesterday’s devastating floods to question various agencies. We must now contend with more severe weather due to climate change, but that doesn’t excuse our city from taking meaningful steps to keep residents safe. I sent the following letter to DC Water:
I am on Rhode Island Ave at the scene of another devastating flood for residents and area businesses. I'm grateful for the fast and heroic work of @dcfireems. First responders helped rescue 10 individuals from cars and employees and dogs from @dcdistrictdogs.
