🚨 WOW 🚨
UChicago admin has refused (thus far) to do anything about the occupation of the Quad that they’ve acknowledged is illegal.
I decided to go in. Watch as students get up in my face, veil themselves with flags, and walk with me/push me b/c they’re afraid of being seen.
With the new CDC guidance admitting what we knew all along, I want to start a thread: Tell me why you were forced to be vaxxed.
I’ll go first:
@UChicago
made me, a healthy teenager, get 2 shots or face being treated like a 2nd-class citizen by the school charging me $80K/yr.
🚨 WOW: 🚨
I asked neocon Liz Cheney a question about her dad’s (Dick Cheney’s) lies that led us into the bloody Iraq War, and she proceeded to mischaracterize my question and prattle on for 4 minutes about Donald Trump and the 2020 election. (Clip 1/3) 🧵
🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨: UChicago announces it will NO LONGER be requiring booster shots for the upcoming school year.
Where is the apology accompanying this announcement? Why are they revoking this requirement without apologizing to the countless students they already forced to get it?
When we founded
@ThinkerChicago
, we wrote this:
“Some things are too sacred to surrender to the mob, and the free exchange of ideas is one of them.”
Then, the “mob” we had our eye on was primarily angry teenagers. Now, it’s
@TheAtlantic
. But our mission hasn’t changed one bit.
Step 1:
@TheAtlantic
co-sponsors a conference on “disinformation”
Step 2: At the conference,
@ThinkerChicago
exposes The Atlantic as the true purveyors of disinfo
Step 3: Atlantic Editor-in-Chief
@JeffreyGoldberg
accuses us of spreading disinfo
Do you see how this works yet?
Sadly, the room was filled with Dems applauding Dick Cheney, many of whom likely called him a bloodthirsty monster 15 years ago.
Dick Cheney lied us into a war that killed hundreds of thousands, and yet his daughter believes he’s a remotely trustworthy authority on the truth.
She described my pointing out her dad’s lies as a question of “policy.”
No, Ms. Cheney, policy disagreement is when two people disagree on how to address a given issue—one where the underlying facts are agreed upon. It is NOT when someone *lies about the facts themselves.*
I was pleasantly surprised to have a handful of principled liberal students come up to me afterward and remark that they thought my question was fair, and that Liz Cheney gave a total non-answer.
Liz Cheney refuses to condemn these lies because she supports them too.
The woman who, when I questioned her, confused Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and Ayman al-Zawahiri because their last names both start with a “Z”—despite it being her darn job when she was in the State Department to know who they were—thinks she’s qualified to discuss fitness for office.
She then spent the next few mins condemning Trump’s comments on the 2020 election, none of which were comments I supported.
She thinks that lying about Saddam’s possession of WMDs, his relationship with al-Qaeda, & Mohamed Atta visiting Prague are merely policy disagreements.
She claimed that Dick’s statement that there was an *established operational relationship* between Saddam and al-Qaeda is actually correct because an al-Qaeda leader took refuge in Iraq post-9/11.
Terrorists hiding in Iraq = Iraq collaborating with al-Qaeda on acts of terrorism?
Never forget what happened on January 6, 2021. It was the darkest day of our democracy.
(Picture unrelated, this is actually Yemen reduced to rubble after a U.S.-backed Saudi airstrike)
@3YearLetterman
Coach, I went to look up my local Beef O’Brady’s on Google Reviews. Sadly, some guy who for sure financed his waterbed left a bad review of this incredible establishment.
Amazingly, the owner himself fired back with a shot-for-shot destruction of this fella’s lies. I’m in awe.
😳 YIKES 😳
This past week, on behaIf of
@ThinkerChicago
, I asked
@JBPritzker
about his recent flip-flop on illegal immigration. He proceeded to obfuscate and dodge the thrust of the question, as is typical of the Illinois governor.

Murray Rothbard, 1992:
“Anti-family values means that other folk--bureaucrats, lawyers, social workers and ‘therapists,’ the rapacious, power-hungry, leftist New Class--get to run everyone’s kids in the name of children’s ‘rights’ and ‘liberation.’”
30+ years later… prophetic.
Our dean is now equating us peaceful patriots with the violent occupiers, referring to us as “two groups of protestors.”
You’re watching a false narrative be manufactured in real time.
We at
@ThinkerChicago
will not back down in the face of flat-out lies from
@UnionCollege
.
Bureaucrats need to be held accountable for expelling
@ElliePuentes
because she decided not to take a pharmaceutical product that made her cripplingly sick and will likely do so again.
Very kind of Hyde Park restaurant Medici to send us free chips and guac following the events on the Quad because of their support for our mission. If you’re in the area, please patronize their wonderful establishment!
Firebrand
@VivekGRamaswamy
explains that the “merger of state and corporate power” threatens free speech in a way that is “more powerful” than either entity acting alone.
The gov’t is “deputizing” corporations via the “back door” to suppress speech since it can’t do so directly.
At lunch,
@ThomasEWoods
discussed when a NYT reporter came to
@mises
:
“If this had been a typical libertarian institution, a red carpet would’ve been rolled out,” whereas Lew Rockwell simply told the reporter “You’re a mouthpiece of the regime and you’re going to have to leave.”
Things
@ADL
condemned this week:
“campus anti-Israel activity”
AI + ML
Parents who don’t want their kids’ genitals cut off
“the growing presence of Iran in Latin America”
Thing it hasn’t condemned this week:
Canada’s parliament giving a Nazi war veteran a standing ovation
Thank you
@ThomasEWoods
! We at the Thinker hope that we’re making Murray Rothbard proud, who once wrote that in college, he “never met a Republican, much less anyone strongly right-wing.”

@ThomasEWoods

April 7:
@chrispthetruth
does the same thing w/
@brianstelter
April 10: Stelter has Applebaum on his show, ironically titled “Reliable Sources,” w/out mentioning either meltdown
Can’t make this up!
Another reason you know these bureaucrats aren’t sorry is b/c they’re still enforcing the original 2-jab requirement when it’s clear that any “protection” provided by an early 2021 shot has evaporated.
They should just call it an “immunization against dissenting ideas” mandate!
Over video,
@RobertKennedyJr
refers to the gov’t response to COVID as a “militarized and monetized response” as opposed to a medical one.
He said “public officials who are supposed to be regulators” end up making money off of the very products they’re supposed to be regulating.
It was a pleasure meeting
@YeonmiParkNK

Quite possibly no one embodies our desire at
@ThinkerChicago
to preserve free speech on campus (and beyond) than Ms. Park.

Don’t sugarcoat it: The students in favor of abolishing UChicago PD are completely ok with this kind of barbaric violence being brought to their campus and their fellow students.
Don’t let them weasel out of what they really mean when they say “Abolish UCPD.”
People have a special hate for
@ThinkerChicago
because we support medical freedom, like everyone did before 2020.
Why? Because seeing UChicago students go after these mandates shatters the carefully curated worldview that all anti-mandate folks are inbreds who can’t count to 10.
This is evil. I did some math, and found that this “relief” costs $2,797 per taxpayer. What form of justice requires a construction worker to shell out ~$3K to someone making 6 figures so that his kid can major in Puppeteering and Gender Studies?
@caseybmulligan
, what say you?
Read my latest, where I discuss the UChicago IOP’s choice to host an anti-white racial separatist for a Tyre Nichols-related panel.
Instead of hosting a productive discussion about how to prevent such brutality, the IOP has opted for more race hustling.
About 2 days after UChicago,
@Princeton
eliminates its booster shot requirement!
UChi cited no real reason for its decision, whereas Princeton at least had the shred of honesty to say that boosters do not “significantly curb transmission of the current prevalent COVID variants.”
🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨: UChicago announces it will NO LONGER be requiring booster shots for the upcoming school year.
Where is the apology accompanying this announcement? Why are they revoking this requirement without apologizing to the countless students they already forced to get it?
As CIA Director, Michael Hayden lobbied Bush to let the CIA drone strike based purely on if ground vehicles’ behavior patterns were similar to Al-Qaeda’s—no proof of terrorist activity required.
Hayden also thinks Republicans are more dangerous than Al-Qaeda.
You do the math.
@ThomasEWoods
I met Bill Kristol a couple weeks after his debate against
@scotthortonshow
.
Shook his hand and said “I enjoyed your debate with Scott Horton at the Soho Forum.”
He nervously chuckled and said “Yeah, that was… interesting.”
He’s 100% aware that he got demolished.
The end to
@GovRonDeSantis
’ speech last night:
“The best monuments [in DC] were not out the left side of the plane [where the usual monuments are]. The best monuments were… monuments that were much smaller, very nondescript… in a place called Arlington National Cemetery.”
Today, Henry Kissinger turns 100.
In just 4 years, Kissinger killed 150,000 civilians with his illegal bombing campaign in Cambodia. Data suggest that most of his victims didn’t live to turn 18.
That the war machine rewards this behavior is a feature, not a bug, of the system.
Emma Woodhouse is still banned from Twitter for directly quoting

Big Tech sure does love truth!

Congressman, I reject your comparison. I will continue standing for what is immutably right, regardless of its popularity.
Great Barrington Declaration co-author and friend of

The Trump administration pressured the FDA to authorize unproven treatments for Covid-19 and the first Covid-19 vaccines on an accelerated timeline, according to a House report released Wednesday.
It’s been almost 9 days and
@EWoodhouse7
is still in permanent Twitter jail for quoting The Wall Street Journal.
No one asked for this “protection” from “dangerous misinformation,”

As my friend
@Rothbard1776
pointed out, you can look no further than Tony Fauci & much of the State Department to find crimes against humanity.
These designations by the biggest gov’t in the world are entirely arbitrary and just used to demonize whoever our current enemies are.

Here are the best quotes from

Lori Lightfoot was more concerned with penalizing my law-abiding friends for refusing to take unnecessary, experimental shots than she was with preventing violent criminals from running amok.
She showed voters what her priorities are, and 84% of them rejected her. Goodbye, Lori.
This person—someone whose full-time job once was Middle East policy—couldn’t even distinguish between Zawahiri & Zarqawi when I asked her about Iraq War basics b/c, as
@scotthortonshow
put it, “their names both start with a Z.”
But yes, the other people are the idiots. Not her.
Ex-congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) offered a blunt assessment of her former profession Monday night: “What we’ve done in our politics is create a situation where we’re electing idiots.”
An inside look at
@UChicago
admin debating who had to break the news to the UChicago community that their coerced experimental booster shot campaign has ended because their narrative is collapsing:
If
@ThinkerChicago
readers didn’t believe me when I wrote that a huge chunk of the people cheering for the Iraq War were Democrats dutifully wearing their N95s, I wouldn’t have blamed them.
Thankfully, thanks to Thinker photographer Kevin Lam, we now have photographic evidence.
This mask-clad girl kept following me around—no matter where I walked—and blocking my camera with a Palestinian flag, so I had to get a selfie with her. Felt like a celebrity, had my own personal escort!
As I mentioned, he went from funding illegals’ financial aid with taxpayer money and restricting local & state governments in how they can police this issue to penning a letter to
@JoeBiden
calling the situation “untenable” only once the issue comparably impacted IL.

It’s been 24 hours since UChicago President Paul Alivisatos said that the violent encampment needs to be disbanded, and that his team will intervene to do so.
Where’s the action?
Journalist
@anneapplebaum
of
@TheAtlantic

@ThinkerChicago

The reason? You guessed it: quizzing her on corruption happening in a democracy.
In my latest for
@ThinkerChicago
, I covered Col. Douglas Macgregor’s talk + my conversation with him at a
@SerbsFor
event. Macgregor covered the immorality of our federal leadership + the illogical position of the hawks in charge of Russia/Ukraine policy.
It’s now been 48 hours since UChicago President Paul Alivisatos announced that the violent encampment needs to be disbanded. And yet, it’s still up!
What’s going on??
@AngelaFor14
“Secession” talk immediately makes us think of the Civil War, rather than all the instances of peaceful secession across the world.
If you make people who hate each other coexist, then you’re actually guaranteeing another civil war down the road, rather than peaceful separation.

When I was vaxxed (late 2020), it was primarily Delta that was going around. I waited until right up until the deadline to get it because I was naively hoping they might reverse their foolish policy.

I published an article over 500 days ago for
@ThinkerChicago
outlining how government uses emergencies to justify authoritarianism, and that the next “emergency” used to implement extreme measures would be climate-related. Here we are!
Overheard on Bloomberg:
“President Biden thinking of declaring a state of emergency on climate, unlocking sweeping powers to shut down oil & gas drilling & direct funds toward solar and wind projects.”

EXCLUSIVE 🧵:
I had the opportunity to meet former Vice President Mike Pence, as well as ask him a question during Q&A (video dropping soon).
I asked him if he still would’ve heeded advice from the power-hungry Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx if he knew then what he knows now.
I enjoyed having to join a Maoist struggle session on Zoom with a managerial leech after being reported on via UChicago’s COVID surveillance system on my *first* day as a freshman because I wasn’t 6 feet apart from my friends for a split second.
A very welcoming experience!
Universities’ authoritarian Covid rules completely desensitized young people to surveillance and censorship. We all will pay when Gen Z starts running this country.

@TheFirstonTV
David Axelrod just told Anthony Blinken at the UChicago IOP that “you [Blinken] couldn’t have foreseen” the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Do they think no one in the audience has ever cracked open a history book?
If a
@ThinkerChicago
staff writer handed me this letter as his first draft, I’d give it back to him and tell him to read it over a few more times before I even begin editing.
Milley must have skipped Princeton and Columbia’s intro writing seminars and gone right into CRT 101.
The
@NewYorker
got a hold of General Mark Milley’s unpublished resignation letter, and as
@JordanSchachtel
points out, the guy holds two Ivy League degrees and can barely write!
He probably should’ve sent the letter to our editors first…
Any conservative who wants to run for POTUS (Trump is running, Pence might) needs to completely and unequivocally disavow lockdowns and mandates as a solution for dealing with public health issues in America.
We can’t shut down and destroy civilized society again.
I remember standing in a UChicago library waiting for the indoor mask mandate to be removed… I ripped it off my face the very second the clock hit midnight and slam dunked it in the trash can.
Apparently I’d have been a grandma murderer if I took it off a second earlier!
On the train from Italy to Switzerland

Crushes the mask with his hand, and shoves it in the trash can

If they left time for more questions, I would have asked him the question attached.
Pompeo strengthened bin Ladenite terrorists by backing the Saudis + UAE against the Houthis in Yemen, and yet leftists are more interested in virtue signaling about a years-old riot. Sad! (2/2)
It’s what they did with the Hunter Biden laptop story, and it’s what they’re attempting to do with COVID.
This wasn’t an innocent accident on The Atlantic’s part; it was an intentional choice to be an arm of the regime’s propaganda wing.
Miss me with your amnesty.
Today, Mike Pompeo visited UChicago’s IOP.
During Q&A, half the questioners soyjacked over J6, even though Pompeo has already testified about it and had nothing new to contribute. They were simply uncurious about Pompeo’s *real* wrongdoings, which were what I had in mind. (1/2)
The fact that respected figures like Dershowitz are mainstreaming this “civilians aren’t innocent because an election happened” argument is lNSANE for so many reasons.
1) The median age in Gaza is <18. So, almost 1/2 of today’s Gazans weren’t BORN when this took place. (1/4)
UChicago’s Tom Sowell: “[If] getting rid of the influence of uncooperative or disruptive students contributes to better educational results, then the answer is not to prevent charter schools from expelling such students, but to allow other public schools to remove such students.”
Biden and the Democrats bear the lion’s share of the blame for our border being more porous than Swiss cheese, but are only now reaping the consequences.
Why do the most powerful people in the world so often feel compelled to obfuscate & dodge questions from college kids?

BREAKING: UChicago President Paul Alivisatos states that the encampment has met a threshold of intolerable behavior sufficient to warrant him and his team getting rid of it. For many, this is a welcome sight.
To borrow from
@AuronMacintyre
, “Progressivism will hollow out your religion and wear its skin like a trophy.”
Don’t let them do this! Your God matters. Your traditions matter. Your values matter.
Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukkah!
In Feb. 2021, I explained in
@ThinkerChicago
how gov’t exploits emergencies to increase its power & that COVID is no exception.
Today, Joe Biden announced a $300B wealth transfer from average Americans to managerial elites, using none other than COVID as its legal justification.
Guys, it's quite simple:
Biden's Administration used a 9/11 war-recovery law ➡️ to cancel $10,000 of student debt ➡️ by blaming it on COVID-19 ➡️ which the U.S. suspended loan interests during ➡️ for a pandemic that's been over for a full year. ✅
@RobSchneider
“WMDs in Iraq” isn’t even a narrative of the past. Some people still actually argue it. Liz Cheney straight up defended that narrative *this weekend* with a straight face:
🚨 WOW: 🚨
I asked neocon Liz Cheney a question about her dad’s (Dick Cheney’s) lies that led us into the bloody Iraq War, and she proceeded to mischaracterize my question and prattle on for 4 minutes about Donald Trump and the 2020 election. (Clip 1/3) 🧵

a few months, but unlike the original 2-shot mandate, which was strictly enforced, the booster mandate was poorly enforced (not sure why).
I was able to hold out until they revoked the booster requirement, which I view as a success.
Reminder: Liz Cheney believes in conspiracy theories that were debunked years ago. I gave her the chance to renounce said beliefs and she didn’t.
She has no ground to stand on when it comes to condemning other conspiracy theories.
🚨 COMMON THINKER W 🚨
The UChicago Provost just announced that she lifted the COVID testing requirement for unvaccinated students and staff. We’re here celebrating with one of our unvaxxed staff members, Chad Berkich. Chad’s nostrils will no longer be abused on a weekly basis!
So I’m still unsure of how Pence would approach the next health crisis, but this is why non-propaganda media outlets need to get decisive answers on this matter from every 2024 candidate.
Voters should accept nothing less than explicit repudiation of the 2020 COVID strategy.
Proud to stand with
