@graystripe2000 Did you set up visual studio and the whole C++ environment? Sadly they changed something around 5.2? and now even BP only projects require that. Also if you're from a country with non-standard characters you might have issues. Japanese in the file path messed me up before.

@CobraCodeDev Making 2D visual novel with Unreal Engine be like (One example that came to mind is Jurnal Risa: Dark Destiny, a VN using UE5.3)

@MakotoIchinose6 That's actually wild. I've seen student projects, but this is the first commercial VN I know of.

@CobraCodeDev Still trying to cook up new Unreal Retro tech: https://t.co/5VGODmGqkx
I did an experiment to get an improvement to sprite rotation quality while maintaining the retro vibe, in #UnrealEngine. I works with any type of 3D transformed object too. And it still respects the scanlines, so it will fit in correctly with CRT filters. #gamedev #pixelart

@CobraCodeDev >2D visual novel >Look inside >30GB Bonus points if it somehow uses Lumen and Nanite because the dev forgot to turn them off.

@CobraCodeDev It's like using a truck to compete in a F1 competition, but it can reach the final line if you have resources.

@CobraCodeDev Of course. I want to use the most powerful available game engine in the world to make tiny 2D games. Not because I'm crazy but because everyone else is.
