Professional fuckup and dropout. Making the world a worse place since 1999. 3D modelling is my passion (I fucking suck at it).

I figured that I was lacking in knowledge about perspective and decided to read Perspective Made Easy by Ernest Norling. I have come to the realization that everything is bricks. Bricks, bricks and bricks, it's bricks all the way down. Except for that mushroom, he's just lame.

>GOTY comes out saying they use AI >Larian comes out saying they use AI >Vavra comes out saying you should accept AI >Xitter is suddenly full of randos saying everyone uses AI and you should like it too None of this feels natural.

Oh look, I actually got them this year. I thought today was the 17th for some reason.

Only problem is that he'll usually go "right is unironically cooler" or on a tirade about how battlemechs are more practical.

I have a friend who's really into Battletech but hates all those damn goofy wapanese robots. It's funny, because he's also a weeb and his favorite BT designs are the stolen ones, so sometimes I make fun of him by tracing japanese mecha and giving them ridiculous names.

I'm unironically getting ragebaited by Expedition 33 discussion on this platform and I haven't even played the game, it's just that its fans are annoying as fuck. But by all means it looks like a cool game, and it's on sale, so maybe I should try it out...

Oh God, I scrolled through my old stuff folder and found at least 5 other drawings with the exact same "left hand on hip, right arm extended" pose. It's my go-to for neutral poses, probably because I don't know what to do with my own hands when I'm just standing around IRL.

>Feeling art blocked >Start sketching static poses >Can't seem to get anywhere >Look up my old drawings to see what I was doing >The exact same fucking pose I'd say I'm creatively bankrupt, but bankruptcy implies I had something in the bank to begin with.

Does anyone straight up just forget how to draw sometimes? Feels like I'm having one of those days, so annoying. And here I was getting happy with my recent progress only to straight up forget how to do EVERYTHING.

Normalize posting pictures on Twitter again. I'm tired of endlessly scrolling through a thousand fucking videos so I can find a place to park the page that won't endlessly play something. And no, I'm not clicking twice to pause it.

I just realized that I described 2-3 years ago as "Ages ago". Jesus Christ, man, the early 2020s were a fucking temporal black hole.

She must be from what, 2022? 2023? I was still using GIMP/paint.NET and my old Bamboo pad back then. Good memories. Also to those in the audience (The 5 bots that grace my account) asking what the fuck a flying moped is: it's this goofy ass ultralight I came up with at the time.

An OC from ages ago (Loosely inspired by Asterisk Kome's Winged Fusiliers which I've never actually read) takes shots at a flying moped. Tried to completely escape my usual style here and "paint", AKA not using many layers or hard lines like I usually do. It's... fine, I guess.

I know that her ears were bothering me (They looked too small) and I wasn't gonna sleep easy until they were fixed, so I tried to fix them and they still bother me. Now they look too big. Fuck me I need a knife-ear expert on this case.

My newly found bad habit of staying up late has paid off: 0250 hours, I just saw a shooting star. Not the regular, "line in the sky" type, but the super bright "illuminate the night" type. Damn.

I think I figured out what my problems with the ears are: viewed from below like this, the upper rim should be thinner and the lower should be thicker. They also appear to sit too high up on her head, according to the official art. And, finally: I suck at shading and hair lol.

Isn't it a bit too late for me to be doing the Frieren low angle challenge thing? Aw, screw it, I was training poses and angles so I might as well. Believe it or not, the hardest parts for me were the mouth and eyebrows. Also the ears look a bit wonky now that I'm done with it.

And yes, I realize that I still need to save the texture on the image editor and refresh Blender to see the changes. Merely removing the alt-tab would still make it a lot quicker for me.
