Let's assume I wanted to localise #MonochromeDome to Japanese... How would I go about making a 4 pixel Japanese font actually readable...? (ยฐ~ยฐ") is it even possible?

Pixelart is as simple as you want it to be, the barrier of entry is lower than 3D. However, the skill ceiling is through the roof and it takes many years of study and practice to become a good pixelartist. You'll find that there's a point where it gets as hard as traditional art.
the reason why so many indie games choose pixel art is because it's simpler and faster to make than any other kind of visual asset. It allows small teams to achieve much more with their limited resources retro appeal is mostly a side bonus

So sad to see Piskel slowly dying out. I've been using it for pixelart for 7 years now. First came the ads, then save files misteriously disappearing, then custom color palettes vanished too, and now it doesn't even load the page.... I might be Piskel's last standing soldier

Updating the Sea Sniffers website, canโt help to add some new GSAP powered animations :) Iโm still in doubt about adding info pages for characters, the world of the game, etc. The truth is people donโt visit game websites, but still... we gotta have a page up ๐

Edit: On one hand, the new collision system makes it impossible to detect collisions with specific tiles ๐ญ On the other, slopes seem to be grouped into a single collision which could fix all the problems involved with seams ๐ค I have to ponder some more...
