At this point a headline like this is only positive marketing. Everyone knows what Journos are about when it comes to games.
This year we’ve talked directly to YOU to shape Lords of the Fallen II. But according to The Gamer, you’re “the wrong type of gamer.” The article ignores almost everything we’ve shown in the last two trailers: • Epic bosses • Lightning-fast, challenging combat • Seamless Day

When I say AI is in a bubble people say no because they think AI will have to disapear if the bubble burst. The truth is that a bubble creats big loses and a few big winner. I am looking at both right now
Google just launched a direct attack on Nvidia's most valuable asset. Not their chips. Their SOFTWARE. And if this works, Nvidia's $4 trillion empire collapses. Here's what just leaked: Google is building "TorchTPU" - a secret project that makes PyTorch seamlessly run on

As long as everyone is being paid for their OT and it doesnt happen during the whole dev cycle I see no problem with this. Crunch is part of many industries, some people even see it as the extra bonus check.

I'm not getting why ppl say this looks bad. Sterile? Yes, but I think that is on purpose since everything is robot in this game. Also this art style is a lot better for optimization which we will need plenty of in a close future.

I lost several subs and follows recently due to my stance on AI. Sorry I don't hate AI enough for you. The moral argument is already lost, you are not winning that one. I am still on most AI tools are garbage and AI is in a bubble that will bring a lot of pain to many. That being

We are at the point where there is no way to force companies to not use AI, but also you can't force people to be good with it. Those who hate it won't change their mind and its all the AI companies fault for the way they marketed this.
The Expedition 33 team admits to using generative AI in the game and defends it as just another tool. "We use some AI, but not much," The game holds the historical record in GOTY. AI to help develop video games is here to stay.

I agree that this maybe the ultimate outcome, that being said companies were already planning on hiding it so what is another stick in the fire.
I actually do agree that the end result of this will not be less AI use, but less public discussion about AI use. I mean, that's already happening, and if Larian of all places can touch a stove like this, you're going to rarely see this brought up many places, if ever

The AI conversation is getting so ridiculous on both sides that I am fully expecting someone to post Fallout 4 had AI gen

I am wondering about the concept art aspect. If you know anything about good co ncept art you'd know AI still cant do it because it will need a high level of consistency bwtween renders
Larian CEO confirms the studio is using generative AI to "explore ideas, flesh out PowerPoint presentations, develop concept art and write placeholder text." He says there won’t be any AI-generated content in Divinity — "everything is human actors; we’re writing everything

Can anyone explain to me the science behind adding fishing to games that have nothing to do with that?

Don't engage in culture war, unless is the culture I like.
Not twisting anything my guy. I was one of the biggest supporters for LotF reboot, defended it despite calls that I was a shill for doing so. Still have high hopes for the sequel, but seeing you pander to Gamers™️ and engage in culture war shenanigans is cringe.

This summarizes how the game journos have been in a bubble for years and are unable to understand when people do the reverse uno card.
