At around 2:45 p.m., the Chapel Hill Police Department arrested Mickel Deonte Harris, 27, of Durham, in the 300 block of Formosa Lane on outstanding warrants related to an assault on September 5, 2023.
The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking the community's assistance locating a missing baby. Jaxton Brown, born February 18, was last seen on Friday at the Red Roof Inn at 5623 Fordham Boulevard.

Police Officer IV Brad Kramer got his new partner last week: a 14-month-old Belgian Malinois. These dogs are trained from birth to be working dogs and training does not stop until they retire. Kramer will begin a K9 school with his new dog in January lasting for three months.
