(This includes no medical assistance.) They handle simple traffic assistance needs like a disabled vehicle, a minor "fender-bender", or even rerouting vehicles due to a traffic light being out. We appreciate the great work they do daily!.

Our Greensboro Motorist Assistance Patrol (GMAP) is in full swing this morning, helping a stranded driver on Lawndale Avenue. GMAP is comprised of five civilian positions that assist with everyday traffic collisions where a sworn officer is not needed.

Our Office of Community Engagement put together a little gift for him, including GPD gear, patches, and commercial-grade walkie-talkies!.Briggs said that he hoped he would be able to get our frequency on his new radios so he could chat with his new friends.Happy Birthday, Briggs!.

. his 11th birthday party at Cedarwood Pool on June 28. Detective Lyndrup immediately volunteered on his day off to go to the party along with other officers who brought a patrol car for him and his friends to check out!.

A few months ago, two of our officers were working an event when a 10-year-old boy named Briggs approached them and thanked them for their service, and wanted to give them a hug. His father told officers that he wanted to be a cop when he grew up and that he would be having.
