🚧 Traffic Alert: W. Cameron Ave. is closed between Basnight Ln. and Kenan St. due to a large fallen tree. Community members should use W. Franklin St. to detour during this closure.

🚨 N. Estes Drive is closed between Halifax Road and Granville Road. Just after 6pm, we responded to a report of a gas leak, confirmed an active leak, and notified Enbridge Gas. Community members should detour the closure using E. Franklin St. or Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Please avoid the area of N. Merritt Mill Rd. and E. Main St. in Carrboro. We're aware that the Carrboro Fire Department is responding to a fire in that area.

E. Franklin Street is closed between Estes Drive and Elliott Road as the Chapel Hill Police Department, and its Crisis Unit, are communicating with someone who is barricaded inside the Siena Hotel at 1505 E. Franklin Street. We’re asking our community to avoid this area.

The post office on Estes Dr. is closed for now. Retail and P.O. box service is available at the Timberlyne post office. Drop shipments will go to the Carrboro post office.
