if you'd valued google at $500B in 2007 on its $15B or so of revenue your IRR would have been like 10%...gotta really dream the dream on openAI/anthropic in these recent rounds

If you are thinking about ditching health insurance all together but are worried about going completely naked in the case something big comes up, you should give CrowdHealth a look. Here is what our CrowdHealth members have paid on average/month over the last 12 months: $143

prob biggest tail risk for mag 7 given that they went full kiss the ring w/trump
We need regulations that prevent companies from using AI to eliminate jobs to extract greater profits. Artists at these companies need to have a say in how AI is deployed. They should share in the profits. And there should be a tax on mass displacement.

We disrupted a highly sophisticated AI-led espionage campaign. The attack targeted large tech companies, financial institutions, chemical manufacturing companies, and government agencies. We assess with high confidence that the threat actor was a Chinese state-sponsored group.

Not clear why restrictions would have an impact on downloads...more like time spent
OpenAI’s CFO mentioned that since August they’ve added more restrictions—for example, prompting users who’ve been on for too long to take a break. In December, they’ll ease limits for users who verify their age with adult ID, which should drive an increase in usage time. Alex

how hard is to distill things like tool use? does distillation become more challenging as the tasks become more complex with longer time horizons?
"I can make the argument that if you're a model company, you may have a winner's curse. You may have done all the hard work, done unbelievable innovation, except it's one copy away from that being commoditized." @satyanadella

We need to talk about what’s happening to an entire generation…. I’m worried for my kids (this novel below can be for entrepreneurs / investors / or young women) That girl crying because she “felt nothing” on a perfectly good date? She’s not broken. She’s been rewired. We live
🚨 Viral TikTok girl crying in her car: “I went on a date with a handsome, accomplished guy... it was perfectly fine... but I felt NOTHING. No spark, no chemistry.” Wipes tears: “I think I’M the problem." Honey, you ARE the problem.

Hedera’s Hashgraph replaces blockchain’s linear chain of blocks with a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG), where transactions confirm each other asynchronously, similar to how news spreads by word of mouth The result: parallel consensus, sub-second finality, high throughput & low fees

Maybe we should create a test that students take before college. They could be standardized and required by every school. Same scores used by every school.
https://t.co/znsckH28gA UCSD report: "At our campus, the picture is truly troubling. Between 2020 and 2025, the number of freshmen whose math placement exam results indicate they do not meet middle school[!] standards grew nearly thirtyfold, despite almost all of these students

ADBE should sign a rev share deal with OpenAI or google to distribute their image and video models. Pick one, have them invest in ADBE, build a sick set of integrations into all of Adobe's tools, monetize the distribution. OAI/Goog pays the Token Distribution Cost. New TAC.

the math just comes down to RL investment (available human/synthetic data+GPUs) vs potential agent revenue for the lab. more common jobs = more data available and more potential revenue.

if your agent's domain is in the head of the distribution curve for knowledge worker hours you will probably get crushed by the labs. (the above is a complete 180 from how I thought about this a year ago)
Hypothetical: 1. Anthropic ships a sub 200ms latency voice model with native tool calling 2. the entire category of customer support / voice agents for "x" collapses (decagon, cresta, eleven, vapi, giga). 3. Zendesk / Intercom/ Salesforce do basic integrations. Ledgers like
