Today, I learned a Ukrainian commander who touched my life has died in combat. Alexei “Chaus” Murzak was a lawyer before Russia’s war called him to join Ukraine’s Armed Forces. He never meant to be a warrior, but became one out of necessity to protect his nation’s independence.
