We should be increasing defense spending each year at least 3 to 5 percent above the rate of inflation. Suggestions that we should cut defense spending are ill-informed & wildly disconnected from the reality of the threats & challenges we confront.
Emerging deal McCarthy is discussing would cut defense spending by $75 billion --@bpolitics. This would be a foolish self-inflicted wound that would undermine urgent efforts to build US military strength, support Ukraine, & oppose Chinese aggression.
