This would appear to show that they attacked and took over the ship and then mined or rigged it with explosives to blow it up. This looks like an op they planned a lot and thought about and targeted this ship particularly.

Where are naval forces to help these ships? Has the Red Sea just been abandoned?.
As of 0710z, @UK_MTO reported that the vessel, likely the ETERNITY C, had lost propulsion, was surrounded by small craft and under continuous attack, likely by Houthi forces though no claim has been made yet by any entity taking credit for the attack.
