Now imagine the power projects that are delayed or don’t go ahead due to this environmental extremism, driving higher energy prices, which drives more people into fuel poverty increasing winter deaths by thousands. People are enduring real & unnecessary suffering because of this.

On Thursday night, we heard that government was making big concessions on its planning bill, putting lots more controls on its nature recovery plans. I find this disappointing. And to explain why, I have to tell a story I’ve been holding off from sharing.

Remember Norma?. Norma is 87, lives in East Cleveland and was worried that the Tees Flex bus service was going to be cancelled. Yesterday, I dropped by to see Norma to deliver the good news that the service is going to be extended. This is what politics is about. Local people šŸ’™

Breaking into a UK military base & damaging aircraft isn’t protest - it’s domestic terrorism. These narcissistic idiots must face the full force of the law. But serious questions remain: how were they able to breach RAF Brize Norton so easily? Our Forces personnel deserve better.

It’s good to see Labour finally honour the multi-billion transport support for Mayors committed two years ago by @RishiSunak. Ridiculous it has taken so long for a Government that needs growth so badly.

British Steel ought to be a turning point. No more net zero unilateralism. No more self-indulgence on coking coal. No more naivety on Chinese trade. No more critical infrastructure in Chinese hands. But Labour want to let Chinese firms control our wind turbines.

Odd, if that’s the case, why didn’t they do it in 2009 when they allowed it to close? 🤨.
