When 48 counties in Nebraska are not eligible for these “scholarship” funds- and this bill will reduce public school funding- why are the state senators in those 48 districts supporting this bill? Why is anyone supporting this bill — but especially those senators?
NE parents should be extremely worried. The dark money from Betsy DeVos is winning. Several Omaha state senators received outrageous levels of financial support to help make this happen. If your state senator is one then- please make a ruckus in your district! It’s not too late!

Pete Ricketts contributed $10k to a far right candidate running for Millard School Board. This is gross. That much money is wrong for a local race. School Board races shouldn't be partisan, and the Governor has no place trying to buy a seat. Stay out of Millard, Ricketts.

In my 24 years of teaching, I’ve never once voiced my political opinions to my students. Teachers come from a position of leadership and influence and with that comes responsibility. Classrooms are places where students learn about facts, not absorb a teacher’s opinions.
