Thank you Councilmember Krishnan, for sharing your mum's story with me
Thank you @Bedatri and @voguemagazine for covering the @NYHistory "The New York Sari." I’m honored that my mother’s story, along with the stories of many South Asian women, are profiled in this piece and exhibition. https://t.co/fZ154nH5FY

How about making a rule that every time a television channel or verified social media handle puts out a false or obviously unverified report, the concerned person or supervising editor will clean toilets at an Indian army border post for a month!

Heart goes out all my HuffPo colleagues. Please hire Marina in whatever project you have!
Briefly back to say: yesterday, I was laid off after 10 years at HuffPost. I’m obviously gutted. But once I take a breath, I’ll be open to jobs & freelance work, both in journalism and outside of it, given the state of our industry. bymarinafang@gmail.com; Signal: marinafang.72

My dad @Larry_Eichel left the @PhillyInquirer in 2008. He wrote the first draft of Jimmy Carter’s obit when I was 4. I’m now 39 and have been at the Inquirer for 14 years. Tomorrow will be his first A1 story in 16 years.
