I really don't like the rule of the team scoring the maximum boundaries winning a tied match. It puts an accent on big hits and does not reward teams that run harder. How about one where, in case of a tie, we take out extras. The team with most runs with the bat wins. #CWC19

Hazlewood to Pant, FOUR to long-off! India's win at Brisbane on this day in 2021 was one of the greatest days in our sporting history. Never forget the heroes of Gabba!

Virat Kohli is a ridiculously good player in a chase, and probably the greatest ODI batsman in history. Given that this format is not exactly flourishing, he will end his career as the greatest ODI batsman ever.

13,288 runs don't tell you the story. Nor do the 36 test hundreds, 31,258 balls & 44,152 exhausting minutes at the crease - nobody has spent as much time or played as many balls in the history of test cricket. Happy Birthday Rahul Dravid, for Adelaide, Kolkata & so many more.

India is suddenly 205 for 5 and then I remembered that this was the first match of the series!

On MS Dhoni's 42nd birthday, I found this report from 7th June 2005. It was about Dhoni hitting 207 off just 126 balls with 10 6s for Shyambazar Club against George Telegraph in the P Sen tournament at the Eden Gardens.

I just saw a boundary save in the women's T20 challenge from Chantam that was as good as anything I saw in 59 IPL matches this season!

When Sania Mirza won her first Asian Games medal for India , Federer had yet to win a Grand Slam tournament, Elena Rybakina was still in her diapers, Saurav Ganguly was the Indian cricket captain, and Sachin Tendulkar was scoring centuries, not Arjun! Quite an innings!

10 years ago, in the KKR nets, @wasimakramlive decided to have a little bowl in the nets, & a member of the coaching staff actually him to stay away from a particular net. Apparently that particular batsman, a current international star, was extremely low on confidence

Two brilliant pick ups at excellent prices for KKR at the IPL auctions. Shreyas Iyer and Pat Cummins are steals at their prices and both possible captains.

Take a bow KKR. What a way to bow out. Brave brave cricket, you were heartbreakingly close.

Bumrah, Rahane, Ashwin, Jadeja, Siraj, Gill, Natarajan, Sundar, Vihari, Shardul, Pant & Pujara, always Pujara, battered & bruised, but not done, most definitely not done. Sundar, Natarajan & Shardul may never play another test. But they'll always have the Gabba. And so will we.
