Lord Swaraj Paul passed away yesterday, in a country that he had adopted 59 years ago. When Swaraj Paul was 35, he moved his family and business to UK just so that his 3 year old daughter Ambika could get the best treatment for leukaemia. After she passed away in 1968, he threw

Part 2. Daddy’s Diary. 16th August 1946. Direct Action Day Calcutta. 15 minutes later. I could see the van of the ‘Shanti Michhil’, the peace procession with joint flags of the Congress and Muslim League approaching Harrison Road. Something just clicked. It was now or never.
