Beware! Eating inside the Bengaluru metro could cost you , a woman was fined 500 rupees after a co passenger made a video of her eating and uploaded it on social media. The security team intercepted her today and fined her.

Look at the high number of breakdowns of electric buses. EV is an emerging technology. By forcing BMTC to get electric buses on lease model, Union and State government are making a mistake.

Each and every bengalurean must be concerned with this. No single party is interested in bringing down the number of private vehicles. Its up to us people to bring the change. No modern city will decrease buses and increase cars.
The number of two-wheelers in Bengaluru increased from 55.42 lakh in 2017-2018 to 78.33 lakh in 2023-2024, while cars rose from 17.75 lakh to 25.13 lakh. Total vehicles grew from 83.6 lakh to 1.17 crore, but BMTC buses decreased from 6,677 to 6,340.

Bus fares go up.No of buses go down. How will traffic improve ? Why this discrimination against bus users ?.
BMTC has decided to transfer 100 old buses (inducted in 2013-14) to KSRTC. KSRTC faces shortage of buses. So far, 70 have been moved from depots like Yeswantpur & Huskur. BMTC now operates 6,340 buses, far below the required 12,000 . Pix via @TheKannadiga_RF . @KSRTC_Journeys

Dear @RLR_BTM sir , @DKShivakumar sir - pls see this . We asked for number of buses to be hiked, instead fare is hiked . We asked for cars to be discouraged instead they are encouraged via flyovers, expressways etc.
In India politicians are laying red carpet for cars while ignoring the needs of public transport users.

Our statement on the bus fare hike. Govt should roll back the hike, encourage public transport. Govt should scrap tunnel road, flyover and use the money to strengthen RTCs. Cars should be levied parking fees and congestion tax. We need more buses,bus lanes, better routes.
