Thanks for retweeting this @LBofBromley. Surely the time has come for you to formally declare that there is a climate emergency, and do everything you can to combat it? @FoEBromley @BromleyGreens @BromleyLS @GreenercleanerB all have excellent ideas they would be happy to share!.

There may be a good answer to all this, which I am sure many people would be happy to assess fairly but, if not, then the tweet and the news item should be re-drafted or removed @BromleyLS @labour4bromley @BromleyLibDems @LiveableBromley @GreenercleanerB /ends.

Given that citizens of all political persuasions agree that there is a real concern with standards in public life, and the importance of ensuring compliance with rules, I would respectfully ask @LBofBromley to consider whether its tweet complies with all relevant rules 6/n.

It has been suggested that there is no cost involved in sending a tweet; however, public money has been spent in drafting the tweet and the news item in the form of the time of staff working at the Council 5/n.

And that is what should have been done in relation to the ULEZ consultation, e.g., informing residents that there was a consultation, linking to it and perhaps even setting out the different views on the proposals. This was not done 4/n.

As the vast majority of the news section of the @LBofBromley website shows, it is entirely possible to publish important and informative items in an objective manner which enables the public to understand what is going on in their local area 3/n.

For those who are interested, the Code of Conduct for Councillors is at and the Code of Practice for local authorities relating to publicity is here 2/n.

So, I raised my concern about this tweet yesterday, and how both it, and the link, seemed to be using public resources for political purposes, as well as failing to be even-handed. @LBofBromley is yet to reply 1/n.

A proposal to expand inner London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) to London’s greenest borough has been condemned as a cynical tax raid against the borough’s residents

No diversion sign at Lower Sydenham end either. Irony is that a) if a road was closed then @LBofBromley would put in a diversion sign and b) said sign would probably obstruct a pavement! @BromleyLS @GreenercleanerB.

@LBofBromley @SustransLondon No diversion here for the Pool River Path between Lennard Rd/Kingsley Bridge Rd? This is not just a local path as it's part of LCN21 and Waterlink Way, so can't expect everyone to know local area or have a charged smartphone!!

Lovely street party in Woodbastwick Road yesterday. Meeting new neighbours, children playing in the street and live music. But why does @LBofBromley only allow one free street closure per year?. @BromleyLS .@londonplay .@GreenercleanerB.
