I was asked in late 2020 what single thing a new president could do to improve US healthcare & this blog was my answer; see for more this JAMA article from 7/15:
jamanetwork.com
This Special Communication discusses the challenges faced by international medical graduates aspiring to practice in the US and their resolution options.
Suppose we created a generous visa program and path to licensing for foreign-born providers; does @USCBO think it would result in “small price reductions” relative to, say, SGR, the price regulation the AMA killed? https://t.co/4w1wL7TDmT

This is @Stata
6. It appears that in the DID setting, R can give different point estimates for pooled Poisson and RE Poisson. Not good. I've tried this is Stata with five different data sets and it always gives the same estimates for all three approaches, with virtually the same clustered SEs.

Has there been any change in the density around $400K? Asking for @SHamiltonian
Democrats invested in the IRS and now it’s cracking down on rich tax cheats, increasing audits for: - big corporations worth $250M+ - complex partnerships worth $10M+ - wealthy earners making $10M+ And no increase for taxpayers making <$400K. https://t.co/TPh5ngXZ6U

Thanks @washingtonpost for the headline « associated » and subhead « An observational study... » with an RCT ref: https://t.co/oSSBs2LaGT Honestly better discussion of potential bias than many journal articles in https://t.co/wOjLciOLIM

Pretty rich coming from a company that profits off #tax complexity and has lobbied against prefilled self-serve forms

Interesting to note NYC and DC are local maxima, and ATL and SD local minima

Another year of Harvard relentlessly publicizing associations and not mentioning whether studies have plausibly causal findings

If you want to see James Turrell’s work, I recommend a trip to Villa Panza
James Turrell did a bunch of natural light installations at Villa Panza, but this adds fluorescents to good effect. http://t.co/8DIDN5vwzo

This survey clearly plans for all respondents to be in academia—anyone else on #EconTwitter answer it?
