We must stand up against vile and hateful speech from far-right leaders. I am proud to represent a diverse community and will continue to call out hateful actors to protect what unites our communities.

Why does this bother people? We live in a country with a plurality of faiths; it’s a freedom of enjoy and a liberty that we have in our liberal democracy.
“Multi faith” prayer room. Let’s drop the charade. They’ve opened a room for Muslims to pray in. They’ve opened a Muslim prayer room. Call a spade a spade.

They are hoping you’ll just forget. 11.5% inflation, 5.25% interest rates, adding £1.5tn in debt, public services slashed; six chancellors in five years; three PMs in five years; Brexit, austerity, Truss. Never forget.
"Welfare spending went up, you raised taxes 20 times in the last parliament... you added £1.5 trillion to national debt..." @vicderbyshire challenges Harriett Baldwin, Shadow Business Minister, on her party's 14-year record - after her criticism of Labour's Budget. #Newsnight

A legacy of the Conservatives is that the majority of children living in poverty are in working households. That's why lifting the minimum wage, breakfast clubs and increasing the number of kids on free school meals are the right thing to do. And all opposed by the Tories.
Endless handouts don’t lift children out of poverty. Getting parents into work does. Scrapping the 2-child cap isn’t kind, fair to taxpayers or affordable... yet we're the only party who sees this.

A speech that everyone should watch. One of bravery, courage and leadership. I’m proud to know you, work with you, and make sure that men are actually believed and listened too. Thank you.

Who are the men disillusioned with mainstream politics? What would win them back? Too often, discourse on the politics of men and boys fails to start at the most important place: listening to them. I’ve teamed up with @Moreincommon_ to put that right 👉

In terms of meeting public where they are, this is one of the most powerful bit of comms I've seen from this govt, both reaffirming the UK as a country that provides sanctuary to ppl fleeing danger, but also leaning so strongly in the need for an approach rooted in order/control

Great to join an inspiring panel at the @coopparty conference on strengthening mental health provision. With bold ideas, community leadership and real investment, we can build a system that finally meets the scale of need.
