Financial secrecy is a huge climate problem.
Alleged “shadow company” group Borneo Hijau Lestari, accused of clearing swathes of Borneo rainforest, uses offshore secrecy jurisdictions to conceal its ownership, @geckoproj reported. Former staff claim the group is owned by the super-rich Tanoto family.
