Greig City Academy is the first state school to have its own sailing team. We train in dinghies before graduating to our 45ft Ocean Racing Yacht: Scaramouche!

Less than 12 hours after returning to London we set off to the ILCA Nationals in Pwllheli for all of next week… and our junior sailors are back at King George Sailing Club. Many thanks to all those who helped make last week such a success 👍

absolutely great Cowes Week with our girls & boys team racing on Scaramouche, the Etchells crew & also Flying 15. Big progress in all areas- looking forward to out Flying 15 completing a whole season ready for a big push next year.

It was great to award the Derek Watson Award for Endeavour to Loretto and Zhayne. This will be an annual award to those in our project who have shown the best team work- supporting the success of others! And they were all out training- continuing his legacy the day after.

Great performance for our lads in the Etchells Europeans. Coached by Matt Reid they achieved a second place in this regatta and currently lead the Champion of Champions international series. Many thanks to all our supporters who make this happen!

The day after Riot and Scaramouche finished their 3 days of racing and training great to back with another 15 at the reservoir. And pleasing reading from the Cape31 Class UK nationals last weekend starting Felipe 👍👍👌

Meanwhile our Yr 7 girls and boys were out in Portsmouth with Margaret McDonald, the day after another 40 yr 7s had a taster a Herts Young Mariners Base. All going on!!
