@OCCRP The protest involved activists from NGO @walhimalut. After the protest they were visited by BRIMOB - the paramilitary police in "a form of intimidation and pressure against environmental activists aimed at suppressing and instilling fear", according to WALHI.

@OCCRP This week there was a screening of the film in Ternate, in the same province as Obi Island. The screening was disrupted by protestors who said it "was not factual—simply an attempt to cleanse ecological sins" by Harita.

@OCCRP Tempo is perhaps Indonesia’s most respected news outlets. But in this case, it appears to be publishing PR for a company and failing to disclose that. But that's a separate story.

@OCCRP The next month, Tempo published a film on the same subject - life on Obi Island and Harita - but presenting a very different picture, one of a very responsible company. Strange right? Well, it was published by "INFO Tempo" - essentially an advert. But that's not made clear.
