Pimping websites "move sexual exploitation off the street and into locations like flats and hotels where outreach is harder and coercion of vulnerable women can thrive." @CarolineVoaden today urged Ministers to act against these facilitators of sex trafficking ππ

Pimping websites are used by sex traffickers to advertise victims. @Ofcom guidance for these sites on implementing the Online Safety Act is totally inadequate and deeply harmful. Our Chair @ToniaAntoniazzi has written to CEO Dame Melanie Dawes requesting urgent changes. 1/2

Great to see the Government introduce a ban on strangulation content in pornography. We first made this argument back in the Online Safety Bill and @BertinGabby made it one of her Reviewβs recommendations. Huge thanks to @APPG_CSE @UK_Feminista @barnardos

Good to speak to Sky news about the harms caused by pimping websites @APPG_CSE
'It's illegal to advertise sexual services in a telephone box, but not online.' After the anti-slavery commissioner announced an investigation into 'pimping websites', MP @Rebecca_SPaul tells Sky's @BarbaraGSerra that the law needs updating. https://t.co/TC2ROCL7wW πΊ Sky 501

Today @APPG_CSE was pleased to hear from @AshReganMSP on her #Unbuyable Bill in @ScotParl The bill would shift the burden of criminality off victims of sexual exploitation & onto perpetrators, driving down demand for trafficking π @tracygilbert72 @katrinamurray71 @kittysull1
π’ Ask your MSPs to back the Unbuyable Bill! @AshReganMSP has introduced a bill to criminalise paying for sex while decriminalising & supporting victims of sexual exploitation. Because sexual consent is #unbuyable Email your MSPs π https://t.co/bjWq6Z8h2T Ash on the bill β¬οΈ
