The guidance also refers to how pupils should discuss how the sexual norms of “incels” and other sub-cultures might influence our understanding of sexual ethics.

It also says that pupils should be taught that pornography can negatively influence sexual attitudes and behaviours, can disempower women and can provide people with a sense of sexual entitlement to the bodies of others.

Very pleased to see that the new Sex and Relationships Education guidance published today makes clear that students should be taught that strangulation is a criminal offence and that is it dangerous, and can lead to serious injury and death.
