This is really significant - the 1st national union, as far as I know, to put out a policy statement on caste discrimination. And a fitting one to do so given it's a significant issue in the food industry. This follows the policy passed at UNISON Black Members conference in May.
At Conference, the Executive put out this statement ,it was moved as part of the BAME report. We will be working with the Anti Caste Discrimination Alliance, to put the statement into practice & wish them well for their Parliamentary event tomorrow!
