🚨New episode Honestly, I don't know what to say. Living with Ramanujan's story has been heart-wrecking in the most beautiful way - his triumph and his tragedy. I hope I've been able to convey some of my catharsis through this episode. Do listen :')

So much content on the internet yet short supplied on actually good ones. This post makes me very hopeful for writing targets I am keeping for myself in 2026. I absolutely hate the idea of pleasing short video algorithms. So I have limited channels but I wish to read and
One BIG learning from this year has been that the media industry is dependent on supply way more than demand. Theatrical films declined not because people don't want to go to theatres but because good films declined in supply. If the industry makes better films, people will

Lovely piece by Ankush on Romance of all kinds. Perfect way to start the holiday season 🌟
Romance grew in unavailability and mystery. But today, technology is killing that crucial part. Whether it’s meeting someone new. Whether it’s painting on a blank canvas. Exploring a new place. Paying attention to someone. Getting bored. In today’s blog, I write about how

Pluribus is basically saying that the world that John Lennon describes in his song 'Imagine' is actually a pretty terrible idea.

A reminder that music labels and industry insiders repeatedly told Freddie Mercury that no one will listen to Bohemian Rhapsody because it was too long and weird to be played on radio, and that his magnum opus will die a sorry death. He didn't listen to them.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen has reached 3 BILLION streams on Spotify. It’s their most-streamed song on the platform.

I once happened to speak to a Pakistani guy who hung out in elite circles in Karachi. His life seemed more debaucherous than anything I have known in India. When this scene came, I knew it was a damn accurate. A good novel to read on the subject is Moth Smoke by Mohsin Hamid.
According to me, the only propoganda in #Dhurandhar movie was this scene. Like in which parallel universe pakistani women wear such dresses and go to parties man 😭

The argument that Indian audiences prefer low-IQ content because @prvkhvr recent videos didn’t perform well is, at best, half-baked. You can’t just parachute in big American or “international” guests and expect numbers to follow. These people don’t organically show up in the
Those who were shouting "Indian podcasting is dead" - look at this now. These "in-depth" conversations are not even touching 50k views. Here's the truth: You have to understand how podcasting works. Every piece of content is good as its TAM. As of now, 99% of the audience

Mood Indigo caused a massive traffic jam on JVLR yesterday, and now outsiders' entry is banned. Heart goes out to the core team who must have sacrificed a lot to prepare whole year round, only to be failed by the city. Moodi has a special place in my life. It was my first job.
All pre-registrations for Mood Indigo events at IIT Bombay are cancelled and entry for any outsider (except the competition participants and IIT Bombay residents) is stopped for today and tomorrow.

Lol same thing happened with me
Had the most bizarre, heart-warming experience today. I am in the small village of Nachinola, Goa. Saw a cute, little church and decided to go in. The pastor looked at me with an exhausted, 'not again' expression, and said that I am at the wrong place, and told me off politely.

If you have broken friendships and relationships due to political differences, this is your cue to mend them. All public politics is performative, at least a big part of it, and you are just a useful idiot.

When I watched the trailer of Dhurandhar a few months back, I thought there was no way I’d enjoy it, stellar cast notwithstanding. But when Palash said it’s a well made movie, I had a feeling it would be worth watching. That and all the Akshaye Khanna clips, of course😛 I must
LONG POST ON DHURANDHAR (2025): The way Dhurandhar is being culturally metabolised on both sides of the border is a testament to what good storytelling and filmmaking can do. For most of the film, you forget that Rehman hates India, and are lost in his world, mostly rooting for

Look at those show timings. A three and a half hour film. Dhurandhar is a legit culture-shifting storm.

I would argue that you could rerelease all movies from 1980 to 2010 in chronological order in the cinema and it would be enough to save the industry.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy is returning to the big screen in January with all three extended edition films to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring.

2025 is set to be the biggest year for Indian Box Office, expected to cross ~INR 13,000 cr. for the first time. This is despite the absence of major big-star films in Hindi and in South this year. Confirms what we all know deep down but had become too uncool to say in the last

Amidst all Dhurandhar praise, these beautiful lines aren't getting enough attention - penned by two peerless poets of their own times - Sahir Ludhianvi & Irshad Kamil. "Aandhi ban ke aaya hoon Mera haunsala bhi ayyaash hai" https://t.co/dBmt4ZpJEo
