Excellent blog. Dovetails with @Miss_Snuffy's comment that one of the most dangerous phrases in education is "oh that's a good idea". Schools need a strong and simple core to revolve around, or they become a mess of misaligned Shiny New Things.
Why do systems in schools fail? .Great thinking on leading & uniting around values by @Mr_Raichura.

Likewise! My whole worldview on education would be completely different (and worse), would be in a different job, all sorts. Quite mad to think about really.
It's not even an exaggeration to say my life wouldn't be the same if i hadn't joined twitter around 5 years ago. Because of EduTwitter, I've written for TES, OUP, spoke to Journo's from Observer/Guardian, MailOnline, NBC, been interviewed on Swedish tv, podcasts etc /1.

If the Daily Express, Piers Morgan and Alistair Campbell have all come round to recognising what's happening, there's no room for doubt. It's a livestreamed genocide. Starmer and Lammy should be in the Hague for enabling it.

Nice little piece on threshold - well worth a read.
If we want students to learn relational confidence, we must first train adults to embody it. This has become part of my daily routine: I pick a staff member and stand with them on the threshold, shoulder to shoulder, modeling it in real time.
