We're deeply concerned to hear Twitter’s #Accessibility team has been let go. They were warm and responsive to the blind and partially community and took great strides in making this site accessible. After all, accessibility is not optional—it’s a legal requirement.

What a good read, such a refreshing take on something that far too many people still need to completely shift their perspective on.
Screen time is one of the things I get asked about most. Usually parents want to know how to limit it most effectively. It won't be a surprise to those who know me that I come from a different angle. Here's a blog I wrote for Mozilla about it. https://t.co/0OcZbDKRGR

'Be More Resilient'. As a psychologist, it was a surprise to me when parents started telling me how much they hated the word 'resilience'. To me it sounded like a good word, an empowering one. Not to them. Here's what they tell me. (with @_MissingTheMark) 1/

Fabulous co-created video, reporting on a fabulous co-created survey on the still-apparently-unresolved topic of the language we use (in the UK) to talk about autism well worth 3 minutes of your time https://t.co/PdVYVEMCMf

When an unusual child meets an inflexible school system, things can go wrong. Then, it's common to locate the problems in the child rather than in the environment. Here's what families tell me about that. (with @_MissingTheMark).

I spoke to an autistic young person last week, who felt so anxious outside their GP's surgery that they froze and could not make the appointment. Perhaps the government would be better focusing their efforts on creating a more accessible, inclusive healthcare system.
Rachel Johnson says those who miss GP appointments should be fined £30 and there should be charges for visiting A&E in a bid to save the NHS. @RachelSJohnson

#SocialModelMonday On that note: This argument is based on the social model of #disability, but people might have differing preferences of how they like to refer to themselves. It's ok to ask, rather than forcing a generalised phrase on everyone. One size does not fit all!
