Academia is preschool. That’s why. I get called Professor in any University after talking to anyone for a few minutes. I tested out of High School and never went back for a degree. Today I wouldn’t even consider it, they lost the battle of knowledge. Now they rely on Gates.
If Google researchers could publish whatever they wanted without restrictions, academia would be cooked instantly.

I’ve always been a huge fan of @paperswithcode which allows to easily browse papers and find SOTA!. Today @AIatMeta discontinued the service😢 luckily they partnered with @huggingface to give the trending papers page a new life 🔥. This is now live on HF’s Paper Pages 🤗

The higher your IQ, the more holistic you can be in your solutions as long as you also have the appropriate domain experience.
This also suggests that the more powerful an Ai is, the more it interfaces with the Platonic realm. I imagine it’s the same with people. The higher your IQ, the more capacity you have to perceive the realm of harmony, order, and beauty. Stupidity is a veil that hides “the realm”

Facts.
The AI boom makes a lot more sense if you view 90% of companies as marketing wrappers for existing tech. This bothers people like me more than it should because I remember when 90% of the companies were pure tech with nerds doing their best to also sell.
