Fire the HC. Fire the DC. Fire Bryan Cox. Get Dart healthy. Curse on Hard Knocks. Recharge in the bye week. Play a lousy opponent at home. Nothing works for the 2-12 Giants. Nothing. Joe Schoen has a non-program.

And of course, the Orange also aren’t in that spot if they could at all reliably make free throws. When you miss that many, you leave yourself open to get beaten. This won’t be the last time the Orange lose because of it either. And now they & Red Autry are in major trouble.

Don’t get me wrong, Syracuse fully deserved to be in the position they were in at the end of that game & Hofstra was the better team most of the afternoon. But Kiyan Anthony absolutely got fouled on that final possession for the Orange. Awful no call that decided the game.
A pair of brutal missed calls on Tomislav Ivisic and against Kiyan Anthony. I'm not sure how there wasn't a whistle on that Anthony drive.

Imagine seeing that video of James Madison celebrating and thinking: We need to fix this system so Notre Dame is never this upset again.

Plenty to be critical of from Red Autry in the last couple years, but big credit to the Orange for getting up off the mat tonight after getting embarrassed by Iowa State at Players Era and playing a whale of a game against Tennessee. Big win.
I honestly don't blame Syracuse fans for court storming after that win over a ranked Tennessee team. 'Cuse fans haven't had a ton to celebrate in the last few years. This was a big one for Red Autry & Co.

BOTH can be true: 1) Syracuse should live in a world where they expect to beat top-25 teams at home. 2) Go ahead, storm the court. It's nice to win again.

It was gut check time for Syracuse at the end tonight. They badly needed a marquee non-conference win for their tournament hopes, confidence, & their coach Red Autry. And they made the stop they needed to finish off Tennessee in the Dome. Biggest win for the Orange in a while!
Syracuse went 0-3 at Players Era but put on impressive efforts against Houston and Kansas. Just couldn't get it done. Well: It just beat No. 13 Tennessee 62-60. The program's best win in almost two years. And its first non-con W vs. a high-major opponent since Dec. 17, 2023.

A kicker who doesn’t kick the ball…A top 3 pick who doesn’t show up for work on time…A gifted young QB who refuses to protect himself…A 2-11 team that can’t execute for more than 2.5 quarters. I don’t know what Joe Schoen is running with the Giants, but it’s not a program.

thinking about how Louisiana's governor forced the firing of Brian Kelly and pretended to take a principled stand against public institutions signing massive coaching contracts with financially crippling buyouts, and then LSU offered Lane Kiffin a 7-year, $100 million contract
Lane Kiffin is expected to announce his coaching decision at some point today. And LSU sources are “very confident” that Kiffin is going to accept the Tigers’ offer to take over, per @BruceFeldmanCFB. Details ⤵️ https://t.co/DPt6uF1zQj

Remember when Kevin Willard leaving Maryland for Villanova was as awkwardly/poorly handled as any high-profile coaching move in recent memory? Lane Kiffin one-upped him in eight months.

Next time we fault a player for transferring, remember this Lane Kiffin mess. Quite an example he’s setting. Hard to blame kids when the adults pull this.

Welp, Syracuse gets one more crack at a marquee non-conference win next week versus Tennessee? Otherwise… *gulp* It’s getting late rather early.

You know the offense is having some stagnation issues when even the color commentator (in this case it's obviously an extremely knowledgable former point guard who gets it in Greg Anthony) is openly getting frustrated by the lack of ball movement.

I kind of like that Syracuse has a crack at another legitimate NCAAT resume boosting game rather than some of those other potential matchups (Rutgers, UNLV, etc) - and you should, too. There aren’t a ton of Q1 win opportunities left on the schedule. It’s a win-win situation…if

I know players shoot free throws, but when this many players on your team are this poor from the charity stripe, it's everyone's fault. If Adrian Autry can't figure out a way to help his team improve in that area, then Syracuse, talented as they are, still won't be good enough.

It’s kinda wild that if Syracuse were merely bad at shooting free throws they’d be comfortably beating the number 3 team in the country

Everyone can see that Syracuse is better, more athletic, & stronger defensively than in previous years. But if you’re missing your free throws at the level that the Orange currently are, that does not matter. Houston & other elite teams will make you pay for that every time.

One more thing on this: as an MLB owner, unless you're willing to open up the books & let everyone see in clear ink the financial loss that you are allegedly taking, please don't complain about one. Don't insult your fan's intelligence. Bring the receipts if you're being honest.

Whether Hal Steinbrenner is losing money running the Yankees or not is entirely inconsequential to me & every other person who roots for this franchise. It's not our money & we have far less than the Yankees do. Regardless of intention, very tone deaf statement by Steinbrenner.
