I was lucky enough to play some music here a few months ago as part of John Hitchcock's Blanket Songs and the whole experience was wonderful. it's a beautiful building, and the faculty/staff/students working there were extremely kind and welcoming and helpful.

I have the 1000 lb water buffalo coming out of this with the trophy due mostly to its size, endurance, and stubbornness. Two 500 lb grizzles would've been my #1 overall seed but they ran into some tough matchups.

one of my favorite things about playing shows is being on a bill with bands I wasn't familiar with and finding out they make good music and are also really nice people. check out Vacant Church and Drive-a-Tron live or on bandcamp if you want some good Madison-based music.
