to start, my role includes interviewing devs to understand existing pain points and prototyping solutions to those pain points. personal goals: 1️⃣ remove friction for core devs 2️⃣ clarify how app & tooling devs weigh in 3️⃣ explain EIPs and how they affect you

Tomorrow's ACD will likely decide the remainder of the minor features going into Ethereum's Glamsterdam upgrade. Decisions will be driven by (a) how much bandwidth there is to include the feature (because there were originally 50 minor features proposed when ~5-10 usually go

Enhancing Ethereum with Block-level Access Lists and ePBS for big efficiency and scalability gains.
EIP-7907, which increases the contract code size limit and adds a gas metering to code loading, was recently removed from Fusaka because it just wasn't ready and could've delayed the whole upgrade ⚔️▶️ 7907 does not currently have a designated technical champion. It is NOT

Stop struggling to track upcoming Ethereum forks & EIPs! I just discovered Forkcast, it lays out the past and upcoming forks, included EIPs, and timelines. My life just got easier.

For years, I've complained internally at the EF that we do not have enough expertise at p2p: we think a lot about cryptoeconomics, BFT consensus and blocks, but we take the p2p networking layer for granted. I think that's no longer true, and PeerDAS shows it. @raulvk and others

i agree this is the more exciting part of what we’ve done this year blob scaling is a big deal increasing our ability to make ethereum better faster is an even bigger deal kudos to everyone who made it happen (it was a much bigger lift than it may seem)
Shipping Fusaka and scaling blobs are big deal, but the part that doesn’t get enough credit is that we set out to ship TWO complicated forks this year & pulled it off. Massive effort from client teams, EF, and the community. New mindset, strong execution all around

PeerDAS in Fusaka is significant because it literally is sharding. Ethereum is coming to consensus on blocks without requiring any single node to see more than a tiny fraction of the data. And this is robust to 51% attacks - it's client-side probabilistic verification, not

Happy Fusaka week! 🦓 New Lab view going live shortly after Mainnet: live custody monitoring for PeerDAS. Are peers actually storing what they claim? Let's verify them in real-time. Built in collaboration with @ethereumfndn's P2P team🤝

There are many awesome Ethereum websites that were created this year (@SERdotxyz, @ethPandaOps' The Lab and more) but Forkcast is still my favorite of the year. Having a central resource to track all of the relevant information for upcoming Ethereum upgrades is incredible.

some big, juicy questions in here, e.g., how can protocols avoid enshrining outdated social constructs as they ossify?
Latest episode of Bridge Atlas just dropped, featuring @eshear and @ralexstokes. Probably the most literate discussion of alignment problems across crypto and AI protocols you’ll find anywhere that’s still generalist accessible. Link in comment.
